Australian Hearing is one of the largest hearing service providers in the world with a reputation for innovation and world-leading practices.

Australian Hearing is a statutory authority constituted under the Australian Hearing Services Act 1991 and was established in 1947 to provide services to veterans who had suffered hearing damage during WWII, and also to assist children whose hearing was affected by a series of rubella epidemics.Australian Hearing's three key areas are our:

research by the National Acoustic Laboratories (NAL)

Australian Hearing is part of the Department of Human Services, reporting to the Minister for Human Services, The Hon Brendan O'Connor MP which brings together the Australian Government's health and social security related delivery agencies.
