A free hearing check is just a phone call away. Call 1800 826 500.
TelscreenTM is Australian Hearing's national telephone service that allows you to take a free hearing test over the phone, anytime, anywhere in Australia.
Based on extensive research, TelscreenTM has been developed by the National Acoustic Laboratories (NAL) in conjunction with Australian Hearing and is one of the most advanced telephone hearing services in the world.
TelscreenTM makes hearing screenings easier and more accessible, especially to those in rural and remote parts of Australia. Now also available in Mandarin and Cantonese, TelscreenTM is even more accessible to our diverse population.
The TelscreenTM service is supported by Australian Hearing's network of 110 centres and almost 300 visiting sites across the country. Australian Hearing will also provide you with an interpreter if you need one.
Australian Hearing provides hearing services to people who are eligible under the Australian Government Hearing Services Program and Community Service Obligation.
If you are not eligible for Australian Hearing's services and have concerns about your hearing, we recommend that you speak to your doctor, who can advise you on hearing services in your local area.
If you would like more information regarding TelscreenTM or if you would like to discuss your hearing needs with a qualified clinician, please call us on 131 797.
*This service is not available from mobile phones and is not a replacement for a face-to-face hearing screening carried out by a qualified clinician. It should not be taken as medical advice. Your results from TelscreenTM may vary depending on whether you are in a quiet or noisy environment. TelscreenTM is best carried out in a quiet environment.
