To claim benefits, hearing aids must be included in the HCF extras cover and the 12-month waiting period served (limit of 1 claim every 3 years).

HCF members with hospital and/or extras cover are eligible for a complimentary hearing assessment once every 2 years. The assessment comprising one initial 60-minute assessment and one 30-minute follow up appointment (if clinically required). Additional consultations, services or assessments may incur a fee.

Hearing Australia offers a 5-Year Care Commitment to eligible clients following the fitting of a hearing device. This does not include those eligible under the Australian Government Hearing Service Program. 

Hearing aid trials are available for a 14-day period. Model and style of hearing aid is subject to recommendation by clinicians. Completion of a comprehensive hearing assessment with Hearing Australia is required before fitting. Hearing assessment and other services may incur a fee depending on eligibility. Failure to return the hearing device after trial may incur a fee. Payment details are securely captured and deleted upon trial completion. Conditions apply under the Australian Government Hearing Services Program.
