December 2024 Newsletter

Happy Holidays from Hearing Australia

We’re excited to bring you the very first edition of our newsletter dedicated to keeping you informed, inspired, and supported. As the year comes to a close, Hearing Australia has reflected on the impact we’ve made, the people we have helped and the steps we have taken towards making hearing health accessible for all Australians.

In this edition, we share highlights from a year of advancing hearing health, inspiring stories like Rob’s journey to better hearing, and research1 on the life-changing benefits of addressing hearing loss. Plus, we explore how good hearing supports strong social connections and combats loneliness, especially for older Australians.

Please note that we will be closed over the Christmas and New Year period, but we’re still here to support you!

During this time, you can still book appointments and order batteries online. If you need help troubleshooting your hearing aids, we have a range of self-help videos to guide you through some simple steps to take.

Thank you for choosing Hearing Australia as your hearing services provider. We wish you a joyous holiday season filled with clarity, connection and sound!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Rob's Journey to Better Hearing

For many older Australians like Rob Kneale, the first signs of hearing loss are often noticed in noisy places like cafes or restaurants. Thinking it was a natural part of aging; Rob almost ignored the signs—until a chance encounter led him to a free hearing check that changed his life.

Discover how a simple test brought clarity to Rob’s life and see how easy it can be to take the first step toward better hearing.

Breaking the (sound) barriers: Why it’s time to take action on hearing loss

More than half of Australian adults acknowledge having hearing concerns, but new research from Hearing Australia reveals that only 7% have taken steps to address them.

Misconceptions about hearing loss can hold many people back from seeking help—yet addressing it can be simple, affordable, and life-changing.
