Free 15-minute adult hearing check vs. a hearing assessment*

While a hearing check and a hearing assessment both check your ears for hearing loss, they differ in a few ways.

Free 15-minute hearing check: This is a quick test of your hearing that gives a good indication that you may have hearing loss, but it’s not a full diagnosis.

Hearing assessment: This is done at our hearing centres by one of our expert clinicians and can take about 1 hour to complete. The assessment will confirm if you have hearing loss and can benefit from wearing hearing aids. In the assessment, our clinician will also discuss your lifestyle, your hearing needs and your budget. If a hearing aid is recommended, they’ll show a range of suitable devices for you based on your assessment.
