Hearing Australia comes out tops in the 2021 Reader’s Digest Service Awards

Published: 8/3/2023 6:25:31 AM

Hearing Australia has been named the winner of the 2021 Reader’s Digest Quality Service Award in the Hearing Service category. The awards were announced at a lunch event on Thursday, 26 November and Shane Bullivant, Hearing Australia General Manager for Southern New South Wales collected the award on behalf of the organisation.

This is the 7th annual Quality Service Awards which was commissioned by the Australian Reader’s Digest. Winners were determined through an independent survey, conducted by leading research company Catalyst Research. The survey identifies the most satisfied customers across 40 different categories out of a representative sample of 2,500 Australians.

According to Reader’s Digest, “Taking care of customers has been a monumental task in 2020, and our very best organisations have just been recognised with the naming of the 7th annual QUALITY SERVICE AWARDS. These organisations have tapped into an important new level of empathy, with a crucial human touch during the crisis. But the survey to find the winners has also revealed that our own expectations, as customers, have shifted as a response to the challenges of the pandemic. We now put more thought into our choice of products and services, and most of us (67%) are more money conscious since the start of the pandemic.”

The Quality Service Awards appear exclusively in the Australian Reader’s Digest and winners were determined based on five key criteria focussing on; how well organisations are able to provide consumers with an individualised customer experience, how effectively they are able to demonstrate a genuine insight into the customer’s needs, client’s feedback with regards to the speed and ease of dealing with the organisation, the level of customer expectations that were met and whether or not the  organisation delivered ongoing quality service.

“Hearing Australia is delighted to receive the 2021 Quality Service Award from Readers Digest. We care for around 2,500 clients each day, from babies to seniors, helping them stay connected to what makes a difference in their lives. The Hearing Australia team provides a range of hearing services and the latest technology to help people and families connect and communicate. We know how important hearing is to the health and wellbeing of our clients, and how much they value being able to get help from us anywhere across Australia,” says Gina Mavrias, Hearing Australia Chief Operating Officer.
