Kim Terrell announced as new Managing Director of Hearing Australia

Congratulations to Kim Terrell who has been appointed the new Managing Director of Hearing Australia. The news was announced today by The Hon Michael Keenan MP, Minister for Human Services and Digital Transformation.
Kim has been acting in the role since March 2018 and will begin his five-year term as Managing Director on 1 September 2018. His appointment follows an extremely competitive and rigorous selection process.
Dr Peta Seaton AM, Chair of Hearing Australia says, “Kim is a highly respected and experienced leader. Since March this year, he has played a key role in working with the Hearing Australia Board and the senior management team to establish the organisation’s new strategic mission that will ensure Hearing Australia delivers even more value to its clients, to government and to the broader community it serves.”
Prior to joining Hearing Australia, Kim played a crucial role in establishing the Digital Transformation Office (DTO), Australian Sports Anti-doping Authority (ASADA) and CrimTrac agencies. Kim was instrumental in creating myGov and driving digital transformation across the Department of Human Services and the government. His work has been recognised with several Australia Day awards. Outside of the office, Kim represented Australia in swimming at the 1982 Commonwealth and 1984 Olympic Games.
In addition to Kim’s Managing Director appointment, Mr Kim Keogh has been appointed as a special purpose Director to the Hearing Australia Board for a period of up to one year. Mr Keogh will commence in the role on 1 September 2018.
